For me is when am in 200 level I give a patient d wrong injection😪 in my state hospital.
Can’t Sleep well that week.
An infant passed after struggling with jaundice caused by RH incompatibility with his mum, his t/bilirubin count was at 54 when the normal range is 0.4-8 I think, his whole body was yellow and we had to drain his blood put in new one at the same time put him under photo-therapy, he fought but unfortunately lost the war I was so grief stricken I didn’t even know what to do, the sick part was I was relieved I wasn’t present When he passed.
I was nursing a patient of 3rd degree burn in my 2nd year. Patient recovered fully with scars and keloids after 11 months. He was my personal person that i didn’t expect death since he already recovered fully. Before i could come for clinicals on the monday morning that he died, he already was in coma. He got hospital acquired sepsis. The next thing was he died without even fighting for his life.. His death remains unexpected and painful..
For me it was when I saw the plug removed from 5/6 year old boy after over a year in coma at LASUTH (around 2015) when I went to visit my sis that was also in coma at that time

.every week has a saddest scene. Pure human carelessness n injustice of nature😭
Eg
Watching a pregnant lady denied blood by her husband because of his religion…
Eg
Watch him begging for life n dies because he has no 5k
Eg.
Sudden illness of the young vibrant youth ..
This are my saddest scene
Anesthetists trying to resuscitate a post surgical patient in the ICU
All to no avail
Witnessed how the patient have up the ghost
For me, the saddest scene I have ever witnessed was a case of a women with colostomy, she was also, with a barely stitched laparotomy incision exposing her abdominal contents… She was in pains!
She also had severe case of RVF and VVF which has been unsuccessfully repaired, resulting in the colostomy and her wearing Pampers…
Her bed side smelled so bad and flies hovering around her…
My heart wept dearly for her…
And that’s the worst scene I have ever seen and attended to as a Nursing student…
