2. Hypertrichosis is an increase in the amount of hair in any part of the body, in both sexes. We have two types Congenital hypertrichosis and Acquired hypertrichosis.
Possible cause of the congenital hypertrichosis is unknown for now. But acquired hypertrichosis can be caused by poor diet, malnutrition, cancer, or side effects of drugs.it can be reduced by avoiding drugs that can trigger it like hair growth drugs, shaving of the hair and also laser epilation

Congenital Hypertrichosis!!!
Particularly Hypertrichosis Lanuginosa,because its in a new born and the child is covered with Lanugo (the soft hair found on the skin of babies at birth).
Genetic mutation could be responsible for this.. (Not sure of which gene tho)😁
Possible mgt is by hair removal Which could be temporary (by depilation or epilation) or permanent hair removal.

The child displayed in the photograph portrays congenital hypertrichosis lanuginosa. Lanugo are present in new born babies but usually disappears after a few days or weeks. In congenital hypertrichosis lanuginosa, growth of lanugo hairs continue.

Reassurance for wellness is truly an important step in the management of patients in general. It has a placebo effect that aids in improving the overall health condition of the patient; thus its importance cannot be overly emphasized.
A key factor in the Genesis of Hirsutism is testosterone, an example of androgenic hormones. Antiandrogenic drugs otherwise called androgen blockers plays a key role in the management of Hirsutism. Other forms of medications/treatments may be explored e.gs Diuretics, enzyme inhibitors, laser techniques or electrolysis, etc.
Unfortunately, the medical condition displayed in the photograph wasn’t Hirsutism.

Cause: it can be hereditary or due to excess androgens secretions or androgens hypersensitivity , it occurs is polycystic ovary syndrome.
Treatment : antidiabetics, hormone

Hirsutism is an abnormal distribution of hair on regions of the body where males usually grow hair. It occurs in women only but can be seen in men as well. In the male counterpart, it cannot be easily distinguished from the usual male bodily hair distribution.
In children (male/female) if present, it is a sign of precocious growth and underlying illnesses may be present.
Hirsutism as noted by you may signal an endocrine disorder.

2.Congenital hypertrichosis may run in the family. It seems to be caused by genes that stimulate hair growth becoming abnormally active. In most people, the genes that caused extensive hair growth in humankind’s very early ancestors are now inactive because people do not need to be covered in hair to stay warm.
In people with congenital hypertrichosis, these genes get reactivated in the womb. There is still no known cause for this.
However, acquired hypertrichosis, which develops later in a person’s life, has a range of possible causes. Causes include:
-malnutrition
-certain drugs and medications such as hair growth drugs,immunosuppressants, and androgenic steroids.
-cancer and cell mutation
-autoimmune diseases affecting the skin
Sometimes,having a condition called porphyria cutanea tarda, which causes the skin to be extremely sensitive to UV light, may trigger hypertrichosis.
Treatment
Treatment involves managing the symptoms by removing the hair from the affected area.
Short-term methods of hair removal include:
-shaving
-plucking
-waxing
-bleaching
-chemical epilation
Long-term treatment include:
Electrolysis or laser treatment
Electrolysis is the destruction of individual hair follicles with small electrical charges. Laser surgery involves the application of a special laser light over several hairs at one time.

The name given to this medical condition is called hypertrichosis.
The reason for this so called abnormalities is due to the increased hair follicular proliferation which could either outgrow in some specific region either covering a spina bifida or covering the entire body curvature.
Treatment
Hypertrichosis has no cure but it can be managed by avoiding the intake of some drugs during pregnancy. Drugs like minoxidil.

By reason, you mean cause; Increased follicular proliferation or growth as noted by you is not the cause of Hypertrichosis rather the presentation of Hypertrichosis.
Hypertrichosis presents as excessive hair growth as well as abmormal distribution of hair in regions of the body.
The reason or cause of Hypertrichosis may be genetic mutation amongst others.

I think it’s Werewolf Syndrome. (Hypertrichosis Lanuginosa)
May be due to birth of baby preterm or congenital adrenal hyperplasia, or malnourishment from anorexia.
Usually this goes away on its own but proper nourishment is essential, gentle massage with oil(fit for a baby’s skin) also helps.
A baby needs an extra layer of fat (brown fat which burns energy rather than storing it) to keep them warm. Fat deposition occurs at the latter part of pregnancy when the baby is close to term. Being born premature, I think the hair remains to keep them warm.
This might also be the case in malnourished infants, where the hair grows to keep them warm because of the same reason as the one above, brown fat.

Wolf syndrome
Its a genetic disorder common in Asia generally, it’s caused by omission of a genetic material in one of the chromosomes . There’s a palliative measure to treat such, like laser beams surgery treatment to destroy the hair follicles , majorly temporary solutions like shaving, hair bleaching and chemical epilation could also be used.

The patients condition is called hypertrichosis
In accordance to the patients appearance we might say he has generalised congenital hypertrichosis
Hypertrichosis is a condition in which there is an abnormal hair overgrowth in non adrogen sensitive areas of the body like face abdomen limbs which occurs in both males and females which can be congenital or acquired . Since the patient have generalised congenital hypertrichosis the main cause is genetic mutation. It differs from hirsitusm in such a way there is male hair distribution in female which can occur due to endocrine ( like hyperinsulinemia acromegaly etc) adrenal gland abnormalities like congenital adrenal hyperplasia , ovarian tumor like in Polycystic ovarian syndrome etc
Patients with congenital hypertrichosis has no cure but rather an approach of reducing the hair which can be temporary or permanent
